Their findings are reported directly to the government. I have been reporting daily since March 2020 to assist the gathering of vital information in the fight against Covid-19. There are over 4.5 million participants who provide information through this app. Help slow the spread of #COVID19 and identify at risk cases sooner by self-reporting your symptoms daily, even if you feel well. COVID-19 Infection Survey (CIS) This survey is being delivered in partnership with University of Oxford, University of Manchester, Public Health England and Wellcome Trust. This study is running over the course of a year. I had a visit every week for a month and now have visits every month for one year to provide swabs for PCR testing and blood for antigen testing. The overall purpose of this study is to understand how many people of different ages across the UK have already had COVID-19. This will help the government work out how to manage the pandemic better moving forwards and protect the NHS from being overwhelmed. Real-time Assessment of Community Transmission (REACT) Study is being conducted by Imperial College London and Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). British Medical Journal (BMJ) As a parent whose child spent a lot of time as a patient in a teaching hospital, I was asked by his consultant to comment on the d eveloping guidelines for medical students around the examination of patients under 18 years old. The University of Oxford developed guidelines for medical students' examination of children. The medical school's joint consultative committee brings together students and faculty members to discuss education and the curriculum. Student members identified a need for clear guidance on proper conduct when carrying out a physical examination of patients. My son and I were asked to comment on the papers written for developing the guidelines and the article was published by the British Medical Association in the British Medical Journal . Fundraising The Abingdon Bridge is an Oxfordshire charity supporting young people in challenging circumstances aged between 13 and 25 in the South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse area. Whether it be anxiety, depression, low self esteem, trouble at work or school, issues at home or with their own relationships, feelings caused by losing someone close, having a baby, or breaking up, substance or alcohol abuse The Abingdon Bridge cover all of this and so much more. Individuals are able to self refer meaning that there does not have to be a professional body involved. It is a service especially close to my heart and I fundraise in memory of my son, Ollie, whom I lost through mental health. Ollie suffered with Sarcoidosis , only the 19th child to be diagnosed at the time. We have raised enough funds to sponsor a room in Ollie's name and continue to receive donations to keep the room in his name for years to come. Further contributions to this incredible charity are always most humbly received. Your kind donation can be made below. If you prefer you can donate for free every time you shop at one of 4,000 shops and sites registered with Easyfundraising ready to make a donation and it won’t cost you a penny extra to help raise funds. Anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising free donations for The Abingdon Bridge with easyfundraising . UPDATE FOR 2022: Our Charity Firewalk in aid of The Abingdon Bridge and in memory of Ollie raised £5,300.00 Find out about our next event HERE Make a difference, thank you

  • How to work with a VA - Your Household PA

The role of a Virtual Assistant is predominately similar to that of a Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant but who works from a remote location offering administration services. We provide a flexible and efficient service to those who are feeling overwhelmed with daily admin tasks but are not necessarily looking to take on another member of staff. How to work with a Virtual Assistant A VA is a freelance Executive/Personal Assistant Your VA will support your business as well as other clients every day. We are not like full-time employees and are not available all day every day - even though it might sometimes feel like we are! We work on multiple clients in any one day, usually doing a chunk of time for one, before moving on to the next. You are billed by time, a bit like lawyers, and we click in and out of an online timesheet recording how much time we do for each person. All businesses operate in their own unique way, and therefore in order to best work with our clients, we need to understand you and your business. We ask you to spend a little time looking at the areas you would like to outsource. By identifying key areas which take you the most time, are repetitive tasks, you don't like to do or you lack the skills in are a great place to start. When you outsource, we will need access to your systems and potentially have a profile set up to work within your business. It helps both parties if you have this information on hand, e.g. logins and passwords. It's also useful for you to set some time aside to run us through your systems and procedures as well as the position you're currently at for ease of handover. Your VA will need access to your diary and possibly your inbox depending on what you agree we will do. What is most key is that in order to support you to the best of their ability, your VA needs good communication from you. Therefore, we will ask you to meet us weekly or fortnightly for 15-30 minutes, please do your best to make these calls. The more you are able to tell us about your world, your clients, your internal commitments, the better we can help you prioritise and take things off your plate. By offering VA support we help you focus your time where it is better spent and where it will have the most impact on your life. Contact us to discover how we can help you.

  • Who are we? Your Household PA

Successful business owners in their own rights, meet the team who can give you the right support when you need it. Order NOW! In a world where perfection is a performance and “I’m fine” is a default response, Where Dandelions Grow is a refreshing guide for the emotionally exhausted, the quietly courageous, and the beautifully burnt-out. This isn't a tidy, 30-day fix, but a lifeline for those navigating the messiness of real life, from the mundane chaos of a full washing machine to the profound weight of grief. Born from lived experience; burnout, trauma, and unimaginable loss, rather than theory, author Gilly Mulford reframes self-preservation not as a luxury, but as a non-negotiable act of courage. She takes readers on a transformative journey through twelve key principles, offering a powerful toolkit of “seeds” to plant in their own lives. These aren't abstract theories, but grounded, battle-tested strategies that were forged in the middle of chaos, in real-time and under pressure. Readers will learn to: Reframe anxiety and stress by identifying the "Adrenaline Paradox" and rewiring their mental search engine. Tame the inner critic by giving it a name and challenging its authority. Unearth their inherent self-worth by letting go of perfectionism and embracing the "good enough" revolution. Embrace acceptance as a fierce act of empowerment, not resignation. Cultivate courage and resilience through the profound power of discussion and healthy boundaries. Using the dandelion as a powerful symbol of perseverance, Gilly shows readers how to root deeply, bend without breaking, and thrive in life's cracks. She grants permission to fall apart, but also provides the unwavering truth that the power to get back up, and find magic in the messy, ordinary moments, resides within each of us. This is a story of profound vulnerability, resilience, and the quiet, revolutionary act of choosing your own narrative. Where Dandelions Grow is an essential blend of emotional resilience and practical self-care, a balm for anyone seeking solid ground amidst life's storms.
