Supporting and championing CSR practice is core to our values here at Your Household PA.

Social Responsibility allows us to enrich the quality of lives for all by investing in social value as an essential part of an organisations culture. This provides purpose and impact and will ensure a sustainable and profitable business. It will also help to build a better world for future generations by improving the environment and ensuring a cohesive community to live and work in.

Honoured to be recognised for our work we were awarded  #BBOCSRChampion - CSR-A  Associate status through Green Earth Appeal.

Zoe App Covid-19

The Covid Symptom Study was developed by health science company Zoe together with Professor Tim Spectre, Professor of Genetic Epidemiology at King's College, London back in March 2020.  Their findings are reported directly to the government.

I have been reporting daily since March 2020 to assist the gathering of vital information in the fight against Covid-19.

There are over 4.5 million participants who provide information through this app.

Help slow the spread of #COVID19 and identify at risk cases sooner by self-reporting your symptoms daily, even if you feel well.

Community Volunteer

Assisting my local Co-op to deliver groceries to those who are having to self-isolate or too frightened to leave their home has been a real lifeline to some.

Supporting my local community has always been a big part of my life.

Medical Studies

I regularly take part in clinical studies to aid research into the causes of metabolic diseases.

COVID-19 Infection Survey (CIS)

This survey is being delivered in partnership with University of Oxford, University of Manchester, Public Health England and Wellcome Trust.

This study is running over the course of a year. I had a visit every week for a month and now have visits every month for one year to provide swabs for PCR testing and blood for antigen testing.

The overall purpose of this study is to understand how many people of different ages across the UK have already had COVID-19.

This will help the government work out how to manage the pandemic better moving forwards and protect the NHS from being overwhelmed.

Real-time Assessment of Community Transmission (REACT) Study is being conducted by Imperial College London and Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).

To register as a donor could not be easier;
Answer a few simple questions and order your swab kit online.
Swab your cheeks, return your kit. The swabs will be analysed at the lab to determine your HLA typing characteristics – matching donors and patients.
That’s it…You're registered!

British Medical Journal (BMJ)

As a parent whose child spent a lot of time as a patient in a teaching hospital, I was asked by his consultant to comment on the developing guidelines for medical students around the examination of patients under 18 years old.

The University of Oxford developed guidelines for medical students' examination of children. The medical school's joint consultative committee brings together students and faculty members to discuss education and the curriculum. Student members identified a need for clear guidance on proper conduct when carrying out a physical examination of patients. My son and I were asked to comment on the papers written for developing the guidelines and the article was published by the British Medical Association in the British Medical Journal.

Fundraising

TAB

The Abingdon Bridge is an Oxfordshire charity supporting young people in challenging circumstances aged between 13 and 25 in the South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse area.  Whether it be anxiety, depression, low self esteem, trouble at work or school, issues at home or with their own relationships, feelings caused by losing someone close, having a baby, or breaking up, substance or alcohol abuse The Abingdon Bridge cover all of this and so much more.

Individuals are able to self refer meaning that there does not have to be a professional body involved.

It is a service especially close to my heart and I fundraise in memory of my son, Ollie,  whom I lost through mental health. Ollie suffered with Sarcoidosis, only the 19th child to be diagnosed at the time.

Sarcoidosis

We have raised enough funds to sponsor a room in Ollie's name and continue to receive donations to keep the room in his name for years to come.  Further contributions to this incredible charity are always most humbly received.   Your kind donation can be made below.

If you prefer you can donate for free every time you shop at one of 4,000 shops and sites registered with Easyfundraising ready to make a donation and it won’t cost you a penny extra to help raise funds.  Anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising free donations for The Abingdon Bridge with easyfundraising.
